The Passport
Privacy notice
The Passport is a practice game for BIBA3 International Marketing. It is not graded: scores do not count toward your grade.
WHAT WE STORE
- Your email address, used only to find your passport when you come back.
- Your pseudonym, which you chose. It is the only name your classmates see.
- Your game progress: your answers, scores and stamps, and the random number that generated your cases.
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in on this device.
WHAT WE DO NOT DO
- We never send you an email.
- We use no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and the game loads no fonts or scripts from other websites.
- We do not use your data for anything outside this course.
WHO CAN SEE IT
- You, your own passport.
- Your instructors see the list of emails and pseudonyms, your progress and class-wide statistics. Statistics are only shown for groups of at least five students.
- Your classmates see your pseudonym and your rank on the rankings, nothing else. You can hide yourself from the rankings at any time in Settings.
WHERE IT IS STORED
- The website runs on Vercel in Paris, and the database runs on Neon in Frankfurt. Both are in the European Union.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
- Until the end of the following academic year, then it is deleted or anonymised. You can ask for your data to be deleted earlier.
YOUR RIGHTS
- You can ask your instructor for access to your data, correction of your pseudonym, or deletion of your passport.
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE
- The course leader, Fabian Bartsch, alone is responsible for this game and its data.
WHY WE MAY PROCESS IT
- To run a practice tool for the course leader's teaching.
